Wishing You A Very Happy New Year!

There’s less than a week left in the decade! 2020 is almost here and the MeloTel team would like to wish you a very Happy New Year! In fact, we’d like to wish you a very Happy New Decade! (How come no one ever says that?) With the 20’s about to take off, we imagine you have some plans for your business so that it succeeds in ways it didn’t during the teens. (Is that what we’re calling the decade about to end?).

Step up your customer service game.

At MeloTel, we believe the first step to enjoying a new decade is to increase focus on creating excellent customer experiences. For the past 11 years (we’ll actually be celebrating our 11th anniversary on January 4th!), we’ve been steadfastly committed to providing the best possible customer service in the telecom industry. On Forbes.com, Elaine Pofeldt agrees that, in 2020, human connection will matter more than ever. “Many people are lonely, isolated and alienated in a world that’s increasingly driven by technology,” she writes, “Smart entrepreneurs will find ways to devote the time they’ve freed up with technology to getting to know customers better, even if that’s through simple methods like taking a few extra minutes to talk with them.” 

Take full advantage of social media.

At MeloTel, we also do our best to keep active on social media. Throughout the year, we post a blog to our website nearly every business day of the week. Links to those blogs are placed on our Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as MeloTel CEO John Meloche’s LinkedIn page. In 2020, you’d be wise to keep your social accounts active in order to drum up as much attention for your business as possible.

Network – in person!

While we are clearly advocates for social media interaction, we will never deny that the good old face-to-face encounter cannot be beaten. Take advantage of business events such as trade shows and conferences by either attending them or becoming a vendor. Meeting both business professionals and consumers will enable you to initiate those all-important relationships that could lead to significant sales boosts in 2020.

“Whenever the opportunity arises to join a networking event, go!” encourages Burns, “This is a huge chance to expand your brand and extend your networks. Building relationships with other people can be highly beneficial for your business growth. Networking is a great way to connect with others that can help build and grow your business, like investors, mentors, customers, employees and so on.”
