We’re So Happy To Be Celebrating 10 Years In Business!


Welcome to MeloTel’s first official blog entry of 2019! As we reported last Friday, our company is officially 10 years old now. We’re thrilled to have finally made it to this milestone and look very much forward to the next ten years. As we’ve pointed out in some of our last blogs of 2018, MeloTel started out as a small company on January 4th, 2009, offering small business owners the opportunity to transition their landline telephones to those of the VoIP variety.

Today, MeloTel stands proudly as Canada’s Hosted Company, offering entrepreneurs from all over North America much more than the opportunity to use VoIP phones. Operating as a one-stop shop for all business needs, MeloTel now boasts a team of very talented individuals who masterfully offer everything from top-of-the-line Website Maintenance Services to blogging. And let’s not forget the fact that we pride ourselves on our unbeatable customer service!

On behalf of the entire MeloTel team, we’d like to take this opportunity to offer another show of thanks to all of our customers. We know that you’ve all taken a chance on working with a smaller telecommunications brand and we couldn’t be happier that you made such a choice. We trust that you’ve been made very happy by the fact that we not only provide you with incomparable services but treat you like a friend as well.

That’s one of the major benefits of working with a smaller company. We actually know our customers personally, so the personal touch is always made an integral part of each and every customer interaction. The MeloTel team is convinced that our treatment of our customers is top reason why we were able to successfully make it to the 10th anniversary mark.

10 years in business is a major achievement.

According to Katie Jensen on Chron.com, “if your business has made it to its 10th anniversary, it’s a major achievement. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only a bit more than one-third of businesses — between 34 percent and 36 percent — survive to their 10th year.” She goes on to suggest that business owners who have made it ten years celebrate the event with their clients, customers and employees.

On December 21st, 2018, we did just that! Just a few days before Christmas, the annual MeloTel Christmas dinner doubled as our 10 year anniversary party. Naturally, we had all of the members of our team there with us at David Duncan House in Toronto. As well, family members, friends and even some of our esteemed clients were there – National Projects and TK Enterprises Inc. were among them.

How do you like our new logo?

You may have noticed that on the MeloTel website as well as our social media accounts, we’ve plastered our brand new “10 Years Of Success” MeloTel logo. Hey, if sports teams can do it, why can’t we? Sports fans are well aware that when a professional sports team is celebrating a milestone in terms of their existence, they usually wear special logos on their uniforms to commemorate the event.

Jensen agrees that it is a trend businesses should follow. “Play it up all year with a 10th anniversary logo and theme, like ‘Celebrating 10 Years’ or ‘10 Years Strong’ and make stationery that you’ll use all year,” she suggests, “Use social media to announce the anniversary logo and tagline and to spread the word and update with events and celebrations as you know them.”
