Last month, we launched a contest to find the cutest pet on the internet. We took to our MeloTel Facebook page to announce our first-ever “Cutest Pet Contest” and were completely overwhelmed by the response we got! It just goes to show you that sometimes the simplest of ideas can generate the hugest of responses. As part of the contest, we simply asked contestants (whether they were MeloTel clients or not) to submit photos of themselves and their pets.
To be eligible to win the contest, all that was required of contestants was that they LIKE the MeloTel Facebook page and then upload shots of themselves with their pets in the comment section of our contest announcement. We have to say that our contestants did NOT make it easy to pick a winner! There were hundreds of adorable pictures to choose from and we want to thank each and every person who took the time to like our page, upload a picture and join in the fun.
We never anticipated the amazing response we received!
The entire MeloTel team was incredibly excited to see that so many people participated in this fun contest. “This contest turned out to be incredible,” said MeloTel’s Founder and CEO, John Meloche in a video he posted to our Facebook page yesterday, “We were so surprised (about) the response that we got from it – literally hundreds of entries on the ‘Cutest Pet Contest’. It was awesome!”
Yesterday was certainly an interesting day at work for us. Everyone in the office was called upon to choose from our many entries to select one winner for the $100 cash prize. We literally placed a bunch of the finalists’ photos on the wall in order to allow us to carefully look at each one.
At MeloTel, we love animals…all animals. But, of course, there can only be one winner of the “Cutest Pet Contest”. So, without further ado, we’d like to offer our hearty congratulations to Shelly Patenaude! According to MeloTel, YOU HAVE THE CUTEST PET ON THE INTERNET!

Shelly entered a photo into the contest that was of himself and his 8 year-old dog, Harley. “Harley is an 8 years old and loves his picture taken!” Shelly wrote, “He’s a little spoiled and a real daddy’s boy.” The photo is awesome. As you can see above, it displays Shelly and Harley in a loving pose together. As far as the MeloTel team is concerned, it was the perfect demonstration of love between owner and pet.
We’d like to take this opportunity, once again, to thank everyone who participated in the “Cutest Pet Contest”. It was such an amazing success that we are guaranteed to launch another fun and exciting contest in the near future. We’d also like to acknowledge our finalists who were just narrowly beaten out by Shelly and Harley’s photo.
