Happy holidays everyone! Yes, we’re still a couple of weeks from the official start of the holidays…but it’s the MeloTel way to spread holiday cheer all month long. Try not to cheat!
In other words, when you take time off…really take time off! Don’t allow your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer at home serve as distractions to the task at hand – enjoying yourself! Your family will appreciate it. But, when it’s all said and done, so will you. Be sure to unplug this holiday season and give yourself the opportunity to truly get away from the stresses of being the boss.
With that said, it’s a good idea to let your customers know that they haven’t been forgotten. Leave a holiday-themed outgoing message on your phone system to inform callers about your holiday hours and that you will attend to their concerns as soon as the holidays are over. If you wish, inform callers that, for emergency situations, you will make yourself available. This may defeat the whole purpose of taking time off, but you don’t want your brand image to suffer.
