Help Wanted: MeloTel Is Hiring!


Readers of the MeloTel Blog are very well aware that we’re very proud of our team. We proudly showcase each member of the MeloTel team on our website’s About MeloTel section. So you can imagine how important it is for us to ensure that each member of our team is as dedicated, hard-working and committed to the MeloTel mandate of making customers lives easier as the other. And we’re thinking that maybe you’d like to join that team!

MeloTel is currently looking to add, to our team, someone who is very proficient with WordPress Theme Customization, HTML and CSS. Candidates for this career opportunity must have expert level knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS and Responsive Design. Required skills also must include PSD to WordPress, HTML5 and CSS3, CSS3 animations, Responsive Layouts and Twitter Bootstrap.

They should also have an excellent knowledge base when it comes to Jquery, Photoshop and Illustrator as well as the ability to work with and configure WordPress plugins. We’re also looking for candidates who can convert Pixel perfect PSD to HTML/CSS. If you have a portfolio of existing websites that demonstrates the abilities that we’ve listed, it would be incredibly helpful. In fact, we’re considering it a necessary prerequisite.

If you’ve taken a look at the photos of the MeloTel team, you can tell that we’re a pretty light-hearted bunch. So please don’t be put off by what seems like a laundry list of stiff requirements for our new job position. Clearly, we’re looking for someone who has a proficient skill set in a specific area. But, we’re also looking to add another “people person” to our sometimes-boisterous team.

Candidates applying for this new career opportunity should be able to work well within a team dynamic. Your shift would be made up of your traditional 9am to 5pm EST hours within the MeloTel office. So being able to be a good communicator among your team members will be an asset. Of course, being able to communicate well with clients will also be incredibly important. Naturally, we will need you to be fluent in English.

Now, considering all of the criteria that we’ve already outlined, we also expect candidates to have an strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, learn new skills quickly and be an advocate for modern development practices and tools. And while not mandatory, those who have experience with the Visual Composer plugin for WordPress, X-Theme Framework and JavaScript and/or PHP will be front-runners for this position.

On to the burning question that is generally on the minds of all job applicants all over the world – what does it pay? The compensation for this position will be between $15 and $25 (CAD) depending on the skill level and experience of the successful candidate. We are willing, however, to increase the amount of compensation to match your skill level. So clearly, the higher skilled you are in the areas that are important to us, the more you will be paid!
