The Importance Of Showcasing Change On Your Website

You may have noticed a new little wrinkle on the MeloTel website. It’s a sort of a tradition, around here, to add animated snowfall imagery to our website on the official first day of snowfall of the winter season. And while the winter season hasn’t officially started yet, we experienced a light snowfall earlier this week at the Markham, Ontario headquarters of MeloTel. So, in keeping with tradition, we decided to add some snowfall to our site!

Of course, it’s a very small change. And it’s one that you may not even have noticed – although, we must admit that the Santa hat we’ve placed on our home page telephone is likely to be pretty noticeable. However, it’s important for us to acknowledge the changing of the season. Over the past couple of months, we have posted a few blogs about how important it is for businesses to acknowledge seasonal changes on their websites.

To reiterate, search engines will notice the addition of new content and rank your site higher during searches that use keywords relative to your blog content.
