Introducing Lukas John Meloche!


The MeloTel family is so very proud and elated to announce the arrival of baby Lukas John Meloche! Born to MeloTel’s Founder and CEO, John and his beautiful wife, Kathryn at 11:44am on Thursday, February 25th, Lukas is the couple’s second son. That makes two-year old Mark a big brother! Of course, this is a very exciting time for John and Kathryn. The entire MeloTel team would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to the entire family!

Lukas was actually born a few weeks prematurely, weighing in at 6 pounds and 2 ounces. He was delivered by Cesarean section with the assistance of an incredible team of doctors at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Currently, both Lukas and mommy are resting and recovering with very proud papa, John by their sides. John, in fact, filmed the entire incredible experience of Lukas’ birth and posted it on his Facebook page.

In the day following little Lukas’ birth, he received some help with his breathing by a CPAP machine. As a result, it took approximately a full day for him to be reunited with his mother. “His umbilical cord is already drying up a bit,” John reported on Facebook on the 26th, “He is responding to my voice a little which makes me feel good. I hope he feels better soon. Lukas will finally get to meet his momma today when she is up and walking.”

We’re so happy to report, today, that Lukas is not only off of the CPAP machine, but is recovering wonderfully. We’re also elated to say that Kathryn is recovering quite well also. “Lukas is finally off the CPAP machine!” John happily exclaimed on the 27th, “We finally get to see his adorable little face! He is probably so much more comfortable without that mask on. We feel sooo much better now! Things are looking up!”

Early this morning, Kathryn was able to hold Lukas for the first time. Needless to say, it’s a wonderful time for the Meloche family and we’re very happy to be sharing this great news with our MeloTel family. As you can imagine, John will be taking some time away from the MeloTel offices to be with his family. He is not expected to be back until March 14th.
