In today’s world, consumers want things done immediately. At the very least, they expect things to be done quickly. And who can blame them? We live in a world where access to information is at our fingertips. We’re not suggesting you divulge intimate details of your private life, but such statements as “I’m truly sorry to have taken so long to get back to you. Unfortunately, I had to tend to a family emergency” will often suffice.
