And that is certainly true for the employer/employee relationship. Simply put, provide regular feedback to your employees if you want your business to be successful.
A very interesting infographic, posted by OfficeVibe.com, lists some pretty significant statistics about the importance of employee feedback. Here are a couple that caught our eye:
We cannot stress enough the importance of making employees feel part of a team. More specifically, if you make the people who work for you feel that their contributions matter, they will only work harder for the betterment of your business. Regular feedback should include praise and appreciation for the hard work your staff members put in each and every day. Let them know that their actions, as well as their opinions, matter and that they are needed for the growth of your company.
Most people don’t want to work for companies that don’t appreciate them. The growth of your company doesn’t just have to do with how much you’re making, but how much you’re saving. And you can save a lot of money by not having to constantly hire new employees to replace the ones that constantly leave you. Regular feedback lets workers know that they are needed within the organization. Naturally, it encourages them to stay.
