Happy Fourth Of July From Everyone At MeloTel!

On behalf of the entire MeloTel team, we’d like to wish all of our American friends and family members a very Happy Fourth of July! We imagine that you may not get a chance to read these well wishes until tomorrow (or maybe even after the weekend! ) since you’ll likely spend all day today enjoying your day off work and celebrating your nation. However, we’d like to express our heartfelt love and appreciation from our neighbors to the south.

You may have noticed the American spelling of “neighbors”. Please consider our omitting of the letter U as our tribute to you on your very special day. As we pointed out two blogs ago, both Canada and the United States celebrated birthdays this week. With July 1st being Canada Day and today being Independence Day in America, we’d just like to highlight our pride in being able to provide services to business owners on both sides of the border.

Canada and the United States have always had a great relationship.

That is, unless you count that movie, Canadian Bacon. The 1995 comedy flick is Michael Moore’s only non-documentary film. It pits the United States in a war against Canada. Starring such Canadian legends of the silver screen as John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, the movie is an obvious satire. Our nations are practically big brother and little brother! With Canada having approximately ten times smaller a population, we’re admittedly the littler of the two.

But we digress. Today is America’s day! And, as Canadians, we’d simply like to highlight the fact that we’re proud of being allies, partners and practically family, as we just mentioned. You don’t have to take our word for it. Our humble opinion is shared by the Government of Canada. Their website details the long-standing bond between our neighboring nations.

Canada has an embassy in Washington, D.C.

The website notes that Canada also has consulates general in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco and Seattle. As well, the United States maintains an embassy in Ottawa and consulates general across Canada.

“The Canada-United States partnership is forged by shared geography, similar values, common interests, deep connections and powerful, multi-layered economic ties,” notes the Govenerment of Canada website, “Canada and the United States enjoy the largest trading relationship in the world, and close to 400,000 people cross the shared border each day for business or pleasure or to maintain family ties. A secure and efficient flow of goods and people across the border is vital to both countries’ economic competitiveness and prosperity.”

Here’s a little shout out to our American clients.

Included in our list of clients from south of the border are West Palm Beach, Florida’s Stellar Signs & Graphics (a super awesome signage company); Windermere, Florida’s Allegiant Experts (highly-skilled clinical experts) and Santa Cruz, California’s Forward Day (the makers of the amazing Shower Bay portable shower).

We know that none of these awesome American clients of ours are open for business today. But if what they offer meets your needs, we’d certainly recommend you contact them once your Fourth of July celebrations are complete!
