Facebook System Issue Shows That It Can Happen To The Best Of Us!

At MeloTel, we understand the reservations that many business owners have about working with a so-called “smaller business”. Sure, we don’t claim to be one of those big brand-name corporations that invest tons of cash into illustrious marketing campaigns. We are proudly a smaller company that places a greater emphasis on building customer relationships and meeting the unique needs of each of our clients.

That said, we know that the “small” stigma creates concern for those who may be used to dealing with popularly-known brands. The assumption is that a smaller company may be more susceptible to system issues. Would-be clients often assume that giving MeloTel a shot may result in the receiving of poorer service. After all, the “you get what you pay for” adage is still alive and well.

We have two main responses to the “small = bad” stigma.

1. It’s simply not true! MeloTel has a fantastic track record with each and every one of its clients. Not only have our services been very rarely interrupted (sure, there are issues now and again, but they are always quickly remedied), but we have continued to provide top-of-the-line customer service whenever a system issue arises. There is no evidence that our cloud-hosted services incur more interruptions than those of the big-named brands.

2. The big guys go down too! Earlier today, Facebook users worldwide encountered an inability to log in to their favourite social media platform. We, ourselves, couldn’t log in. So we knew there was a system-wide issue taking place with the social media giant. Too often, the average consumer believes that because a company has such a well-known reputation for being a top-notch brand, it doesn’t experience any delays or interruptions.

With Facebook going down for a short period of time today, it shows that such issues can happen to the best of us. System delays don’t just happen to small companies. If you’re under the impression that you’re safe from ever experiencing any system issues by only doing business with big-named brands, you’d be mistaken.

We’ve heard it all before. “The bigger guys have more resources and a better network,” we’ve been told. “I like the big guys because they never go down,” we’ve heard. The truth is simply this: Bigger companies may have larger networks and more resources…but they incur problems just the same. Simply put, these problems can happen to the best of us! Don’t assume that a big-named company provides trouble-free service 100% of the time.
