A Quick Reminder About MeloTel’s Holiday Hours

It’s hard to believe that, in less than a month’s time, we’ll be welcoming, not just a new year, but a new decade! With December now here, it’s abundantly clear that the year 2020 is right around the corner. The MeloTel team is pretty excited about the potential the new year holds. We’ll be venturing into our 12th year as a company by starting the year off with our 11th anniversary on the 4th of January.

Of course, between now and then, we’ll have a lot of celebrating to do. December, of course, is a month full of celebrations. With Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Year’s Eve all taking place this month, we join the rest of the world in getting set for the holiday season. As a result, our business hours will be slightly skewed, as we’re sure you’re aware. Today’s blog serves as a quick reminder of what they are.

It is business as usual until Thursday, December 19th.

As you can tell from our holiday schedule above, MeloTel’s standard operating hours are Monday to Thursday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, on Friday, December 20th, MeloTel will close at 2:00 p.m. EST so that we can prepare for our annual Christmas party. As always, it will be held at our CEO John Meloche’s favourite restaurant, David Duncan House in North York.

However, we won’t be closed for the holidays until Christmas Eve. That means that MeloTel will be open for business on Monday, December 23rd with slightly altered hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Because Christmas falls in the middle of the week this year, we will be taking off just the middle of the week. MeloTel will be closed for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day but we will be open on Friday, December 27th with our regular hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

New Year’s Week will be similar.

With New Year’s celebrations taking place in the middle of the following week, our operating hours will take on a similar look. MeloTel will be open on Monday, December 30th between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., but we will be closed for both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Our first day of operations in the year 2020 will take place on Thursday, January 2nd. That means we’ll be off during the day of our 11th anniversary which takes place on Saturday, January 4th. When Monday, January 6th rolls around, our business hours will be back to normal.
